Fussing about fitness

According to our survey there is a fuss about fitness. From the people who answered our survey 80% of you said fitness was important, 16% of you said no it's not important and 30% of you said you were undecided if it was important.

There is a saying, 'put your money where your mouth is', which basically means don't just talk about something, actually do it. Since the majority of people who took part in our survey felt it was important, we would now like to know how many hours you spend doing exercise/fitness.

Please also comment on our blog about someone who inspires you, or has inspired you, to get into fitness. Please tell us who they are, what they do, and why you are inspired by them. Remember some of our best role models and heroes can be the people right infront of us.

Hi Everyone

I am very impressed with the thoughtful posts you have been doing. Zin Zan, and William well done for having such a sensible discussion going. Keep up the great work everyone.

I find it hard to think of one person who inspires me, there are so many, swimmers like Mark Spitz, adventurers like Sir Edmund Hillary and Jacques Coustaeu, and everyday people who have overcome tough times and physical challenges like my mum, who still goes to the gym even though she is an octogenarian.

I look forward to reading about your role models, and people who inspire you.

Interesting comments everyone. I really enjoyed reading who the people are that inspire you in fitness.

What qualities do you think these people all have that make them role models?

Make sure you vote on the poll too.

davis said...

hi its davis
people that inspier me are my frends and family.because they do some regular fitness(sport)so then i can learn fron them so it might not be such a fuss for me

william said...

hi william here
i like fussing with fitness because i like doing sport and keeping fit and eating healthy
but taking drugs is just being a big sad guy.
bye

Trish said...

Interesting comment William about drugs in sport. Sadly a lot of the people who we thought were fantasitc athletes, actually took substances to increase their natural abilities.

Some of these people have been stripped of their Olympic medals, such as Marion Jones and the USA relay team which she was part of.

Hi it is me Ruby

i think that my role model would be my mum, dad, brother and all of the rest of my family, all of my teachers and friends because when i am stuck they all help me and that means alot to me.

Thanks Ruby.

zinzan said...

hi it's Z.Z.Z
i think a quality they would have would be courage. they would have to be courageous to play the sport well and forget the injuries and do their best to inspire people to do stuff and be their role model.

zinzan said...

hi it's Z.Z.Z again
i agree with william because i think taking drugs is a form of cheating because it makes yo fitter of people think so but i think it is being sad to others and i also think that most drugs that make you faster of stronger or stuff is bad for you and if that is right then whoever is taking drugs should stop taking drugs right away.

shanika said...

hello its shanika i agree with william and zinzan

you might be a fabulous runner and you were better than everyone except one guy than ofcourse you have to be better than him so you take drugs to convinse yourself your best

Madz said...

Do you think our poll is an accurate reflection of how much exercise people in society do? Why / why not?

tariel said...

i think that the fuss about fitness is so you stay healthy

zinzan said...

hi it's Z.Z.Z
i sort of think the poll is an accurate reflection because people could lie about but there is really no point in doing so.

ruby said...
